About the Job

In this role, you’ll be overseeing and leading the development of consumer-facing features across our web and mobile platforms. You’ll collaborate with our Clinical Care and Sales teams to build features that streamline the care process, so knowledge in the health-tech space is a huge plus. Responsibilities

  • Innovate and experiment with new tools, techniques, and strategies to keep raising the bar on valuable innovative product development
  • Build, manage, develop, and scale a diverse and high-performing engineering organization, including building out the necessary technology leadership infrastructure to support it
  • Grow the technology team by recruiting, onboarding, retaining, and developing engineering talent
  • Provide leadership and oversight to technical teams during design, development and deployment of web services that power our app
  • Develop and implement policies, standards, or procedures for engineering and technical work
  • Lead and engage teams to develop high-quality solutions that can keep up with a rapidly evolving product in a timely fashion, and excel in usability, scalability, performance, and security
  • Provide technical leadership in architecture, design and coding
  • Take a hands-on approach to develop and execute on a technical roadmap with a focus on scalability
  • Partner with product, business, and operations stakeholders on roadmaps, timelines, and technical strategy

Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of technical leadership in which you have a demonstrated track record of leading and overseeing sophisticated engineering initiatives, plus significant experience as a hands-on technical contributor
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Familiar with working at a high-growth company, preferably in a highly regulated environment like healthcare, wellness, HR/benefits
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to explain your approach and the impact of your work to non-technical team members in a way that is clear to them.
  • Able to attract talent and develop high performing teams. Proven recruiting experience as a hiring manager. You have experience hiring and growing senior leaders and managers
  • Comfortable interacting with customers directly when needed
  • Ability to balance business needs, a sense of urgency, and shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions
  • Keep up with the industry trends and identify new tools to use to solve technical problems
  • Passionate about GritWell’s mission to make root cause medicine more affordable and accessible. Experience and knowledge of Functional Medicine is definitely a plus
